Why therapy is a good option for you and your family.

My extensive experience and background working with young children and adolescents ages 2-18 years old, provides a specialized approach in helping those who may be struggling in school, at home or in their communities. Children and Adolescents may be navigating a divorce, have blended family issues, or school problems with peers, included but not limited to bullying and impulse control.  All these issues can be addressed through therapy.

Thorough assessment and consideration of multiple factors including; current situation, past experiences, developmental functioning and family attitudes is important in developing a therapeutic treatment plan.

Options for Therapy

Walk & Talk Therapy

Lets take our talk outside. There is no one-size-fits-all when it comes to therapy. Movement helps support body regulation which can increase the ability for therapeutic conversation and enrich the client experience when face to face, in close quarters can feel uncomfortable. Walk and talk therapy can relieve some of that pressure.

Walking sessions typically take place at a city park setting, walkable from my office locations.

If you’re interested, let’s talk and decide if this approach is appropriate to meet your therapeutic needs. Walk-and-talk sessions can be used intermittently or regularly, and may be discontinued at any time.

Telehealth

I understand that in-person sessions are not always convenient to fit into your busy schedule and life. Telehealth is a great option and can be just as effective as in-person sessions, provide opportunity to connect with me in a virtual office space, and maintain continuity of care during busy times. As a child and parent therapist, I make extra efforts to be flexible in offering alternative scheduling options outside of 9am-5pm working hours to meet your needs.

In Person

My office is conveniently located in Portland, Oregon. Individuals participating in in-person sessions must follow current State of Oregon masking requirements while present on office building.
